The Graduate School of Letters provides a place of academic inquiry and specialized research for the intellectually curious.

The Graduate School of Letters holds entrance examinations twice a year for its master’s degree programs, once in September for Fall admissions and once in February for Spring admissions. Examinations are also held once a year in February for Spring admission to its doctoral programs. The Graduate School of Letters also offers an information session in July prior to the examinations.

The examinations consist of a written test, which is followed by an interview. The written test includes a specialty field, a required foreign language, and a foreign language of your choice. However, the subjects of the written test examinations differ depending on department and specialty. See the graduate school application website for more information.
